Healing Journal! (Preorder your copy here)
Yes, The Butterfly is slowly starting its debut in stationary and healing products.
10 years in business is no meant feat, and I want to celebrate this milestone with you.
And there is so much to celebrate!
In 10 years since starting from absolutely nothing but a thought and an idea, I have published 3 books, successfully over-funded 3 Kickstarters, sold out the first edition of Unmasking Depression, run over a dozen workshops, masterclasses, healing sessions, given keynote speeches at many organisations and events, been interviewed and featured as a guest on dozens of podcasts, news articles, magazines and have now created a journal.
And all of this happened because of YOU!
Without your support, none of this would have been possible.
And so, it makes sense to celebrate this milestone with you.
In saying that...
Tickets are limited!
So please secure yours by 30th April as I need final numbers for catering purposes.
Now I bet you're wondering what you can expect?

The Evening Events
So we've got the venue, vibe, food, and drinks sorted.
What can you expect during the night?
Definitely fun with a flavour of inspiration, because at the end of the day we are a company with a vision for transformation and healing.
The event will kick off at 7pm when you will arrive.
Food and drinks will flow, along with background music and the general buzz of everyone getting to know each other, reunions and many meeting in person for the first time.
Around 8pm we will start the official part of the evening. I will give a 15 minute keynote speech, reflecting on the 10 years, announcing the winner of the silent auction and introducing the new product.
After the speech, if you haven't already, you will be able to buy signed copies of my book and the journal.
And from 9/9:30pm, we will open the dance floor for everyone to let the movement flow.
The event will finish up at 11pm, and depending on the mood, anyone who'd like to kick on, will be invited to do so.
The Silent Auction
The Butterfly started with one book - Unmasking Depression - and a very small print run of 200 limited copies.
These SOLD OUT within a year of publication.
Except. For. One.
Yes, somehow copy 161/200 - which was stocked at a Sydney store - has survived!
So, I kept it for a special occasion.
I think our 10 year anniversary constitutes as special.
See, at the first book launch in 2015, I auctioned off the second copy of the book to raise funds for a charity.
As we started the auction at $100, the atmosphere electric with everyone gearing up to bid, we fell into a shocked silence when a close friend (who was a social worker) raised her hand and bid $600 as the first offer. Everyone looked around, unsure what to do next, and that's when the auction ended. The second ever copy of Unmasking Depression went to her.
Meanwhile, the funds were donated to Sir David Martin Foundation - an organisation that helps youth in crisis situations. I had a representative present that evening and she came to the mic to share more about the organisation. She shared that $600 helps a youth restart their life with a backpack with basic necessities like toothbrush, clothes, pen, paper and so forth. For youth who are homeless, leaving violent or abusive homes and dealing with destructive habits like drugs and alcohol, this organisation helps them get back on their feet. An initiative that is close to my heart.
And so, with the huge success of that auction, I decided to auction the ONLY limited edition copy of Unmasking Depression that is still available.
And you are invited to participate.
All bids are private and silent and can be made using a site prior to the event.
The winner of the silent auction will get the limited copy of Unmasking Depression and the funds will be donated to an organisation we choose (I will let you know on the night).
The Book Signings and Journals
Yes, to answer your question, you will be able to buy any or all 3 of my books on the night.
The new journal will also be available for purchase on the night.
However!
Many of you are flying from all over Australia to attend and I want to party with you.
So I encourage you to pre-order your signed copies of the book/s and journal prior to the event. We can still take photos with your goodies, however you can imagine that signing everything will take time, and this will drastically save us time so we can enjoy the night instead.
So, where possible, organise your signed copy of the books and/or journal prior to the event.
You can preorder the journal, books and discount bundles here.
You will receive your order in a goodie bag on the night with some other suprises.
If you are picking up your journal at the the event, please contact me for a discount code for free-shipping.
Black Tie - The Dress Code
It's pretty straightforward - just think that you're going to the Oscars.
But in Melbourne, Docklands.
And since it's one of my events, I don't mind if you wear bright colours.
Ladies... this looks like:
- Floor (or midi) length gown
- Matching clutch
- Statement necklace or earrings
Gentlemen... this looks like:
- Black tuxedo
- Cuff links
- Bow tie
- Black shoes and socks
If in doubt - stick to classic, timeless looks.
Just look glamorous!
(Anyone wearing sneakers, thongs, jeans, t-shirts, sweats, shorts ... will be denied entrance).
Need a second opinion? Find me on Instagram and DM me your outfit. We can workshop the look together.
And that's that!
Check out a video of our second book launch in Sydney's Harbour.
Secure your ticket.
And I look forward to seeing your glamourous self (or selves) at the event.
With anniversary vibes,

Women of the Future Semi-Finalist
In 2016, Anna Krjatian's book Unmasking Depression was chosen as one of the fifteen semi-finalists out of 5000 applicants, for the Australian Women's Weekly and Qantas Women of the Future Competition. Read her entry below.

3 Successful Kickstarters
"Self"-publishing 3 books in 7 years is no easy feat. In fact, having decided to print them in Australia, it was costlier too. So, Anna decided involve the community with the funding process. With everyone's help, she successfullyover-funded 3 Kickstarter campaigns. The results were humbling and inspiring: Unmasking Depression (2nd edition) funded $2677 in 14 days with a $1610 goal, Lovely - Poetry on Love and Loss funded $6414 in 14 days with a $6000 goal, and Lovelier - The Goddess and The Dragon funded $8244 in 21 days with a $8000 goal.
